Who, ME?

Today I found out that I have been selected to represent my school at the National Educational Computing Conference* in Washington, DC this summer.

Wow!

I am terribly excited, having never been to DC, and quite humbled and honored, being the only k-8 staff member selected to attend. I am also, however, wondering what on earth I am going to do with all of the evenings after the conference ends. You must understand that I am used to 2 jobs, schooling 2 kids, a home, a husband, 2 cats, a dog, etc. WHAT will I do with myself?

Ok, am I THE most pathetic person alive? Apparently my biggest source of anxiety is having free time. Can those of you with a psychology background do some sort of analysis on this and get back to me?

If you happen to be in the mood for a mid summer romp in old DC, please do not hesitate to give me a shout out. I could REALLY use a sight seeing buddy.

Upon hearing the news that I will be visiting Washington, DC this summer, Isaac excitedly asked if I am going to visit the Declaration building and if I can bring him home a souvenir copy of the Declaration of Independence just like the one in the National Treasure movie.

Yup.

You will find quite the commitment to an accurate American history education in the S house.

Love to all!

*Look, I KNOW this sounds like pure hell or possibly THE most boring thing in the world to many of you, but it really is a big, exciting deal in my little life.
