Despite a full cycle in the washing machine, a few days of drying out was apparently all my Ipod needed, IT WORKS!!!!!

From No Words to Bliss in a couple of days.
All I can say is only someone seriously high-maintenance can experience mood swings to this degree!
I'm happy for you--and happier for the iPod. Having experienced a near-death experience via drowning, believe me, the iPod got the worst of the deal.
