Qdoba is winning the polls! and other pointless news

I KNEW if I left that poll up long enough the results would swing in my favor!!

I am supposed to run a 10K on Memorial Day.

Hmmm.......

I should probably think about going running or something.

Anna has started getting up at 6:30 am. Anyone who is even remotely familiar with me knows that this is bordering on torture in my little world. I thought I would be very smart, put some Cheerios on the family room floor and then lay down and doze while she plays. Ohhhh no! I MUST be sitting up and I MUST be actively engaged with her or she throws herself on the floor and pitches a baby fit complete with head pounding. At any other time of day I would find that endearing. At 6:30 am I want to curl up in a ball and cry. The boys sleep until 8 am on a very regular basis. At this very moment it is 8:53 am and Isaac is still asleep. HOW can I teach this child that mommy does not function prior to 8 am?

Yes, to those of you thinking that I should be the one to adapt and start going to bed earlier, I am well aware of this solution. HOWEVER, 8 pm to midnight are pretty serious work hours for me and I am not sure where I would find those hours if I started going to bed earlier. Before ANYONE says it, and I know that at least 12 of you are thinking it, I really DO accomplish more than a 4 hour IM session with Liz between the hours of 8 pm and midnight. No really, it's true. REALLY.

It's SO true. We'll just have to teach Anna that mommy is a grumpy monster at 6am. At 8am she becomes sunlight and all things wondrous. My guess is the little princess has just not put 2 and 2 together just yet.

And--for the record, while Cherith and I are chatting between 8pm and midnight, I'm able to complete an entire chapter of the great american novel. I'm on my way to a Pulitzer courtesy of these late night sessions....

you go girl!

Sam started waking up at daybreak as well, and someone suggested making his room really dark so the sunlight doesn't wake him up.

Of course, I let him watch Teletubbies for 30 minutes while I try to sleep (and then I get smacked in the head "Wake up mama!")

If only that would work on Anna. A few days ago I covered up her beautiful window treatments with a garrish spider man blanket in an attempt to get her to sleep later. If it worked, I planned to invest in some room darkening shades. They are ugly, but I need more sleep!

Alas, it has made no difference at all! :((

Well of course it's winning - how many times have you voted, my love??? (Truth be told, and please don't tell ANYBODY this, but I think I actually prefer Q-doba as well...).

And I can vouch for her time spent between 8 pm and midnight...work, work, work... that's all she does. Oh sure, she may write a sentence or two to Liz, or check out some blog or shop for Anna's newest outfit, but most probably, definately possibly, maybe without a doubt, she's hard at work...

(okay honey, I think I've convinced them).

Look here mister S, I'll have you know that I am NOT stacking the votes as this particular program only allows you to vote once.

And as for my late night work hours, you just better watch it or those hours will extend from 6 pm to 2 am...SMOOCH!

Are you guys sitting next to each other posting comments? You know, you do actually live in the same house. You can just "talk" to each other!
Q-Doba is a poor man's Chipotle.

Well, I guess I am a poor man...compared to Bill Gates!!! But Esther, I think you need to face the truth here - Q-doba offers more selections, and exotic flavors... they are the better burrito bar.

And honey, I know your scheme... logging on as "anonymous" from phony email addresses. I've seen the evidence! It's true, I tell ya, it's true!!

Oh, hi honey... what's that brick fo...

In the interest of free speech, truth in the internets and...ya know, whatever else...I am NOT going to delete these posts. However, I may just have to make this blog available only to invited guests and NOT include my sister and husband! How very sad.

PS Jesse will be fine in a few days.
